This idea takes inspiration from Polyedit2000's Gooey Gamble and Anonymated Rubbery Rooms RP concepts. Hope this one works.

So, you're in a large, circular room. in front of you is a big, red door decorated with golden decals. This door would be where you would enter in order to start your run.

To your left is a door with a sign that says "Trophy Room." Currently it's greyed out, so can't go in there.

To your right is a door with a sign that says "Library." Currently it's greyed out, so can't go there.

There's also a stand akin to a lemonade stand or something, but there's a Closed sign on it.

So yeah, looks like you'll have to go through the big red door in order to unlock these things. Will you take this thing on?
well, seems interesting so far I'll give you that ;P

Hannah hummed curiously as she looked around the room she ... appeared in, was the best way to describe it, having no real memory or answer to how she ended up here, she had half a mind to stand here and wait, see what happens but "nothing ventured, and I don't wanna be around if someone kidnapped me" she mumbled to herself, wandering around the room a bit, testing the other doors and looking over the lemonade stand before opening the red door.
Masha (a large, chubby and slightly awkward girl) found herself in an unfamiliar strange room. She didn't know how she got here and therefore stared around uncomprehendingly.

((Are all players in the same room? Or is the game individual for everyone?
What are the players wearing? Is it a special uniform or casual clothes?))

((Hub Room is the same for everyone. If you manage to catch someone going into the big red door, you can party up. I would assume all players start in their casual clothes (no, nightgowns don't count), though at this point, that answer should be obvious.))
Masha saw Hannah and went to her.
- Hey! Wait! Who are you? And what is this place?!
I suppose I'll move this a bit forward to where that can happen...

Hannah and Masha both made it through the big red door. There, they are greeted with a golden plaque with the following instructions.:

-To complete a run, you must go through 8 rooms, this room not counting.
-Each player has six hearts. These represent your HP.
-Players may obtain a treasure in every odd-numbered room.
-If you lose all your hearts or get immobilized, you get a Game Over.

Beyond the plaque, you will see a red door marked with a single gold star.
"dunno, this seems to happen to me a lot" Hannah chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck as she looked over to Masha, stopping to let her catch up before continuing on into the room, her attention quickly being grabbed by the golden plaque. "hmmm... just gotta make it through all the rooms? seems ... easy enough, though, if you get immobilized with full hearts does that still mean a game over?" she hummed to herself in thought.
- Is it something like a movie "Saw" or a video game? - Masha muttered thoughtfully after reading the rules.
- Do you understand where we are and what's going on here? - she asked Hannah.
"nope" hannah answered, popping the P sound. "but I think we will get our answers after we escape ... if we escape."
- "It all looks like a stupid prank or a cruel joke of some pervert. But since we're in this mess, how about we join forces? By the way, I'm Masha." - said the chubby girl and held out her hand for a handshake.
"hannah" she hummed, returning the hand shack as she looked around. "seems we can only go forward so .... after you" Hannah gestured to the red door behind the plaque.
"Ummm... but...." - Masha mumbled in confusion in response to Hannah's suggestion. She was counting on Hannah to go first. On the other hand, she saw no point in arguing, and to get out she would have to go anyway.
Having gathered her courage a little and mentally prepared herself for the unexpected, the girl took a quick first step into the room behind the red door.
Took ya long enough. Any longer and I would've shoved the two of ya in there.

Anyway, the first room contained two blue slimes. Pretty lame stuff.

Slime
Difficulty: *
Description: A slime. It really doesn't do much.
Skills: None
"awwwww~ how cute~" hannah hummed, approaching one of the slimes. "hi little guy~"
The slime responded by lunging at Hannah in order to attack her. Looks like red had to do with combat.
"h-hey!" hannah yelped, quickly ducking to the side. throwing her leg out to kick the slime in return.
Masha was surprised by the appearance of such fantasy creatures in the "real" (as it seemed to her) world. But events were moving too fast, there was no time to reason.

- Leave her alone! - Masha shouted and attacked the same red slime. The girls had no weapons, so she, like Hannah, tried to kick the creature.
Okay, so the first slime was felled fairly quickly. Yay?

There was still one another slime, and it went for Masha!

By the way, both slimes are blue in color. Read the posts thoroughly, dummies!
Delighted with the first success, Masha turned to the second opponent and attacked him. The kick worked fine last time. Therefore, the girl decided to apply it now.
And the slime was defeated. I suppose the slight excess in weight gave Masha a bit of heft in her step.

That being said, with the room cleared, you get four items to pick from, all which appeared on top of pedestals. It would've been three, but you peeps are in a party of two, so I had to add one more for this run.

(Warrior) Captain's Rapier - Sword attacks with this weapon are slightly faster. Jabs are slightly more powerful.
(Mage) Flame Staff - Fire-based spells have increased power.
(Archer/Ranger) Aero Bow - A bow whose arrows glide further. (Note: You have unlimited arrows if you plan on using a bow)
(Rogue/Thief) Hank's Knife - Slash damage is slightly increased. Does more damage to clowns.

Aside from that, you get three doors, a red 1-star door, a red 2-star door, and a 1-star green door.

Oh, and you guys got 4 coins, 2 per slime, so cool.
