Second Skin Film & Non-Stick Suits

Repairing the partly-organic Evangelion mechs require alternate tools, so NERV created this unnamed film.  It is likely that the film is developed to adhere Evangelion flesh like a liquid bandage and is probably derived from LCL.  The film is excreted like a mucus through special gloves, solidifying in contact with skin.  Due to similarities between Evangelion and human flesh, crew members are asked to wear a non-stick suit that prevents the film from sticking on them, which is identified by their bee comb pattern.

However, NERV may also consider the application of the film on humans.  The film would be a bandage on an evangelion, but it is practically inescapable on a human scale  The film is also breathable and is expected to reduce interference in synchronization because of this.  The film can work as a plugsuit or restraint depending on the direction of research.

It should also be noted that the flim can also adhere to itself as this male subject is receiving a slim body and a tuck-in crotch in addition to lumps on his chest.

Additional Note:

Since the Evangelions were not in need of repairs and no Angels were predicted to arrive, no one had realized a few film gloves and suits were missing.

It seems that pilots Asuka and Rei have "borrowed" the items and were experimenting on pilot Shinji, trapping him in a second skin.  Later in the day, Shinji was re-coated in a kneeling position with his arms behind his back.  Rei had then removed her suit for the night, but Asuka had quickly captured and restrained Rei using the film.  However, Asuka was not able to remove the film on her captives before Major Misato returned home.

After getting the story from the pilots, Asuka and Rei were punished for their theft, spending hours restrained in the film they had been playing with.
