Daisy had some doubts about whether it was okay to leave Dawn alone with a woman who had recently tied her up. But it seemed like the other girls didn't mind.
Anyway, as they approached the dock with the submarine, Daisy invited her companions to hide in the bushes nearby and inspect the submarine with binoculars.
“What do you think awaits us there?”

Inside the submarine where violet peered through the window, there was only nina in the pristine clean metal area. Nina was in a sleepsack and muzzled with the same ones from earlier.

Daisy tapped softly on the porthole with her knuckles to get Nina's attention.

Nina was asleep so no response


As cindy stayed with dawn she asked her “how long will this take? i have no idea where nina is.”

"I'm willing to bet several hours," Dawn replied.

Cindy sighed “oh ok, i honestly mean it when i say i dont know who those masked men are but i did see a skull on their shirt backs when they grabbed me.”

"I see..." Dawn paused, checking a bit of Cindy's aura. Yeah, it seems legit, although she did notice something else about Cindy. "Hrm. I did notice something about your thieving days... Odd way to provide for your family, I see..."

Cindy sighed then held her hands to dawn . “I be a single parent who adopted violet . I was a thief in a secret club of crime but now that violets grown i dont know what to do.”

"Have you looked into camp counseling? You seem pretty good with knots."

Cindy decided to respond to dawn’s joke “very funny but honestly Vi’s pretty better at knots then i am.” “She recently had a fling with some dude who did shibari on her she told me.” Cindy quickly shut up  knowing she was starting to overshare.”

"I see." Dawn looked out. "And what are you seeking out this treasure for? If it even exists; could just be a rumor someone advertised."

“Ya know it could be enough money in there to get VI a stable job so i wont have to lead her into my crime any more?” Cindy looked at dawn “so how was season 4? Vi watched it when she was 12. Dont worry i made sure to skip any inappropriate parts.”

"It was alright. The island being irradiated was the least of my worries at the time..."

“I see, were you able to connect with anyone there , that Beverly guy perhaps?” Cindy said oblivious to the fact her zipper was still undone and her bright yellow undergarments with a couple hairs sticking out were on display.

"Barely." Dawn lifted a finger, using her aura to gently zip Cindy's pants back up. "The fan base likes to ship me with Scott, but I don't see us ever really working out considering our differences. If anything, I'm closer to nature than I was to any of my fellow competitors."

“Huh i see were there any other reality shows you were on since then?”

"There was that Total Drama knockoff that Giselle hosted I made it to the finale. In my version of the events (note: TD prior to the 2023 reboot had multiple endings), instead of tying up Giselle, all I did was deck Giselle right in the face, sending Giselle crashing through the wall. Although in doing so, I used so much of my aura I temporally displaced myself, sending myself all the way back to the start of the show. It took me a hot minute to get back to the present."

Cindy laughed “well we ought to get going now the others must wonder where we are.”

"Right. I should have replenished enough of my aura for a quick recon mission anyhow." Dawn got up. She went out first, climbing down the rope of the treehouse.

The two then caught up with the other give or take minutes where nina was still asleep
