Candi was a bit disappointed, though glad that nothing bad had happened. 

Still, she was going to put in "88" again but paused.  She remembered the scene when the doctor used the toy car and mom explained that the toy wasn't actually going 88 miles per hour but would trigger if it reached a speed that matched its scale.  "So, it's how fast the model has to go."

Unfortunately, model cars were more of her godfather's thing, and she hadn't stuck around to learn much about them.  She did examine the car again, flipping it with her foot, as she tried see if there were any numbers that indicated how big this thing is.

There it was, the scale of the model in printed text on the underside: 1:24. This would indicate that the car was 1/24 the size of the real Delorean.
