CD Cocooned

A CD can hold 700 megabytes of data or 74 minutes of music.  A CD player is designed to play audio CDs, easily jumping from track to track, though this was before MP3 players and smartphones.

Back then, the Negaverse was no stranger to creating "fads" with the purpose of drawing victims in.  In this case, their creation was a cheap CD player with a free music CD.  What the victims don't know is that, after they start playing the CD at home, the player would feed on the CD, converting it into many thin strands of magically charged plastic fibers that weave around whoever is nearby.  In addition, the free CD is sung by Yohma's with hypnotic abilities, so victims would remain subdued for most of their cocooning.

But what if a different CD was used in the player?  It seems that the Yohma CD player would still work on any CD, but due to the thin strands, the first few minutes would not be easy to spot with the visible eye.  It's only later when the strands merge that a person might notice, but by then, the strands would be too thick to break out of.

Similarly, the Yohma music on the CD can be placed in any player or even extracted, and it will retain its hypnotic beats.
