Ten Floors of Trouble

Post by Flashlight237 » Thu Mar 05, 2020 12:06 pm

((It's been five months since an RPing session happened here, so I figured I should try and get us all back into the spirit with an easy thread idea.))

You came across the front of a dungeon. It had a giant ball gag atop the gate. Surely this place is going to be interesting, especially with the promise of treasures and rewards. Well, if you complete this thing that is...

First of all, what class are you?

Name: Marie
Species: Anthro Feline
Class: Ranger

Marie cautiously walked up to the gate of the dungeon, her bushy Tail swishing nervously behind her. She pulled the green hood of her cloak over her black hair and approached the gate. What trepidation she had was being drowned out by the sounds of gold and jewels ringing in her ears, the mere thoughts of the treasures inside making her bolder. As she entered the dim dungeon, her white fur seemed to stand out like a beacon. She took her bow from her back and crept forward, nervously ready to reach for an arrow if necessary.

(glad to be back~ and good to know this site isn't dead yet XP)

the ebony haired blade Dance hummed curiously as she stared up at the dungeon with emerald green eye twinkling in excitement. She wore a simple, yet form fitting, set of leather armor that hugged her pale form, a set of daggers strapped to her lower back and had her hair up in a ponytail, her name was Hannah.
"hmmm, never heard or seen this dungeon ..... must be new" she shrugged, resting her hand on one of her daggers handles before heading into the dungeon,

As soon as you entered the dungeon, you would notice that the thing is less mazelike like the standard dungeon and more gauntlet-like like, say, the Thousand Year Door's Pit of 100 Trials. Anyway, you both come across your first set of opponents: five armadillos. The armadillos jumped at you and curled up in a ball like they're Sonic or something.

hannah sent a glance towards her companion, before turning her attention toward the approaching armadillos. She lowered herself to the ground slightly, she waited for the last possible second before dodging out of the way, ripping out one of her daggers, striking the rushing armadillo as she jumped out of the way, putting as much strength she could behind the hit, trying to push it into the other armadillos.

Before Marie could say anything to her new companion, she was forced to focus on the armadillos barreling towards them. Her bow was up and she knocked an arrow, the arrowhead leveled at the armadillos. She didn't bother shooting at the thick armor head on. Instead, she leapt aside and fired an arrow into the jointed sides of one of the armadillos.

Hannah didn't damage her armadillo's armor, but she managed to toss the thing into three other armadillos. As for Marie, she managed to pull off a smarter strategy more effectively. The arrow lodged itself into the armadillo that went at her, mortally wounding it.

Quickly pulling out her other dagger, Hannah used their confusion to jump towards them and plunge her daggers into their sides

Marie notched another arrow and began volleying at the rest of the downed armadillos, thanks to her companion pinning them down, she had little trouble picking off the stationary targets.

(("Notched," Ario.))

The armadillos were felled rather swiftly. Soon after, a door opened up, leading downstairs. You're free to hang out here and chat, but the next challenge awaits.

Hannah, sighed, slipping her daggers back into their holsters as she turned her attention to Marie, sending her a small smile. "that was easy .... nice shooting there"

Marie smiled as she lowered her bow. "Thanks, but I never would have been able to get up close and attack them like you did." She walked up to Hannah and held out her hand. "I think we'd have a much better chance of making our way deeper into this place if we worked together. I'm Marie by the way." Her tail swung back and forth fitfully, her heart racing with adrenaline still.

"I'm Hannah" hannah responded, returning the gesture as she shook Marie's hand, sparing a glance at the newly opened door in thought. "would defiantly be the best choice, if just for a few levels .... sure, I'd be glad to adventure with you"

(Woops, my bad... ^^')

Marie kept her bow at the ready as she turned towards the door. She nodded to Hannah and said, "I'll watch your back. You take point in case we run into any more.... friendly welcomes." Her whiskers twitched in anticipation of whatever might happen next as she took cautious steps towards the door.

"just don't hit me, at least buy me dinner first" Hannah chuckled out in a joking tone as her readied her two daggers once more, slightly lowering herself in the floor, ready for any kind of attack as she made her way through the door, into the next room. her eyes scanning around for any enemies or, anything really
