Zelda desperately struggled with the straps and cursed through the gag, but unfortunately in her current position she could not help Jack, Dawn, and herself either. The straps prevented her from using her limbs, and the gag prevented her from casting any spells.

I don't think kicking a cage really did anything but make Jack hurt her foot (I mean we're talking about a steel cage with a 45-kilogram woman in it. How do you expect the damn thing to move?). That said, Dawn attempted to speak with Analise again. Aren't you doing a bit much? Dawn communicated to Analise.
