Nope. Still blue.

Hint: You're working with the CMYK scale.

You wake up in a padded cell. You are wearing nothing but your underwear and a straitjacket that was very securely bound onto your body. You wonder what the frick is going on until you find a note. The note would read...

"Greetings. You may be wondering why you're here. Well, I'd like to propose a little challenge to you. If you can escape your cell, you'll be rewarded with a $50 gift card to Amazon. If you don't, hope you don't mind having your straitjacket being padlocked for the rest of the day. Now then, see if you can get out of your cell.

P.S. If you're a Karen, don't bother. We already padlocked your jacket and a had sent in a giant scorpion to your cell to have you for lunch. This was a measure we took to keep you from spreading rabies."

With that being said, why don't you have a look around, eh?

Rehyanne wakes up looks around. She is confused at first, as she was in her bedroom last time she knew, but waking up in strange places is something she's familiar. She tries to see what's on her room, as she shuffles in her bonds.

You see a display of the Olympic symbol above a scale model of the Acropolis. There are two keypads with two panels. It seems your first task is to guess what years the city of Athens hosted the Olympics.

The scroll presents you with a combination... In a rather weird way...

"Split the digits of the original publication year of Fellowship of the Ring" in groups of two and subtract 2 from each. After that, take the middle two digits of Abraham Lincoln's birth year and divide the number by 4. Finally, count the number of triangles in the Triforce and multiply that number by six."

Should you look up, you would see a safe that has a combo lock ranging from 0 to 59.

"Who pays attention to that stuff?"  Candi muttered.  "I don't suppose you can solve this..."

Candi shook her head, knowing that the mummy couldn't even see the puzzle.  "Okay, so what do we know?  I'm pretty certain books were popular in the 1900s, and if the Am Rev was in 1776, the 16th president should have started in the 1800s but he has to be at least 35 to become one...The Triforce I know, but is that the actual pieces or anything with three sides?"

For the Triforce, Candi decided to count both the known and the general shapes, so 5 x 6 becomes 30.  With the president, 16 4-year terms or 64 added to 1776 gives her 1840, and minus 35 gives her 1805 or 80, which divided gives her 20.  The first part was going to be the issue.  No panic, she just had to see what she could do first.  The lock did not have negative numbers, so the first part of 19-something could not be negative one, and 190 was too far above the lock.  So, she'd have to assume the first part became two numbers.  That would leave her with 60 combinations to work with, assuming the other three numbers were correct.

...Candi would try to run the second number from the highest possible since she had a feeling the book wasn't that old.

Okay, your line of thinking with Abraham Lincoln of all people was very unconventional. I wonder why your mind hasn't immediately went to 1809 since, you know, it's common knowledge that that's when he was actually born.

That being said, the first combination was incorrect. Perhaps it had to do with the book.

Alex naively believed that he was dealing with the RGB scale. But after several failed attempts, he realized that he was wrong.
To start, Alex presses the reset button. Then, one by one, he presses and holds the magenta, black, and yellow buttons.

Rehyanne is kind of confused, but she tries to recall... 1896 on the first, but draws a blank on the second one and puts 1996, because 100 years is a big enough of a milestone to have the place repeat itself. She knows 2000 was in Australia, after all.

With that, you managed to get the color "brown" by holding the yellow button after the last two. You were then presented with a combination. It was written in a weird way, though.

"Put a line across the middle of the year of Charles Dicken's death year and divide the 2nd resulting number by 2. After that, Count the number of Mario Party titles and use that number. After that, take the number of pokemon available as of Pokemon Crystal's initial release date, subtract it by 1, and divide that by 5."

A look around your cell revealed that the combination was that of the door to your cell!

After her foot stops throbbing, Candi took a few calming breaths. "Okay, if the other two are correct and this started in the 1900s, there's 60 digits to work through. Let's see if you can work through this."

Reinvigorated by her speech, Candi took her time to work through the combinations up to 18 times (Changing the second number, from 40 to 58) before she would think of a break.

It took seven more tries exactly before Candi found the correct combination: 17, 52, 20, 30

It was then that the safe was unlocked. Upon opening it, you would find another paper. It would simply say "Guess the order in which the inner planets appeared on Japanese TV." You would soon find a latch with five things to turn (whatever you call them)... On the door to your cell. The symbols on the latch are, well, alchemic symbols.

She was certain about the first one, but that she failed the second one confused her. She knows the one on the 2000 was in Australia rather than Athenas and she was sure the ones in the 92 were in America, so she went with 2004, the next one.

2004 was correct! Once that was done, a panel opened up on the east side of the cell. There, you would see alchemic symbols, listed as follows...

The task here is to order the elements by their atomic number. Hope you know your alchemic symbols and your periodic table.

"This is a Sailor Moon question, isn't it?"  She wasn't a fan herself, but it was one of auntie's favorite shows.  "If there's five, it's probably the five scouts.  That's simple, it goes by Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus.  But those symbols...it was in their first transformation, wasn't it?"

The first dial, Candi turned to the crescent moon.  Jupiter was easy to remember since it looked like a 4 with a big left curve.  Mars she briefly recalled was a man's symbol, and based on the man/woman rhyme, she guessed that Venus held the woman's symbol.  Mercury was the one she didn't remember right off the bat, but taking a quick glance at the dials, she did recall that the symbol was neither symbol nor pointy.

The order she dialed in was

I know, shocker, right? /s

Anyway, once you dialed in the combination, the door unlatched itself, opening up the padded cell you were in. Congratulations! You've escaped the padded cell!

Candi took one last look around the room.  She can't say she'll miss it, but the only thing she wanted to grab, she didn't have hands for it.  With a shrug, she left the room.

I know just what it was. The mummy curiously peeking out of its tomb, wondered why a door had opened. She would hop out of her tomb and follow Candi out.

Rehyanne was booksmart, which would help her here, after all. She had issues with some of the materials, so she only moved those she understood and put the others in the bottom.

Well, the ones you managed to order were somewhat ordered correctly, but they're all in the wrong position. The only one that was in both the correct order and position was Bismuth, which I've marked in this post.
