Julia was jumping impatiently around Alex and Harley, grunting encouragingly into the gag. If her body hadn't become so clumsy, she might have done more good, even being all tied up. But right now it was all she could do.

Jane struggled furiously and writhed in her bonds, trying to break the fan blades and, if not free herself, then at least fall from the ceiling. And she also shouted threats at the doll. Of course, the gag muffled her words and made them unintelligible, but she hoped that this would be able to distract the demon's attention from her friends.
